St. John’s Hosts Tom Farrell Classic

The Red Storm will recognize its senior class at the seventh annual meet
QUEENS, N.Y. (April 30, 2021) – Coming off a successful weekend at the Army Twilight Meet, the St. John's track & field team returns home for its seventh annual Tom Farrell Classic at DaSilva Memorial Field on Saturday.
The annual home meet for the Red Storm pays tribute to former alumnus and longtime St. John's volunteer assistant coach Tom Farrell, a two-time Olympian and 1968 bronze medal winner in the 800 meters.
The Johnnies will kick off the meet at 10 a.m. with the women's hammer throw, discus throw and shot put.
St. John's will recognize its 15 senior athletes and present the Tim Harrington Pole Vault Center prior to the senior ceremony, beginning at 12 p.m.
The women's running events will fall underway at 12:30 p.m. with the 3000-meter steeplechase. The Red Storm will close out the meet in the 4x400-meter relay at 4:20 p.m.
