St. John’s Readies for Sunday Matinee against Old Dominion

Red Storm faces tested opponent at the Lifetime Fitness Center in Harrison, N.Y.
QUEENS, N.Y.- The St. John's men's tennis team will be back in action for a Sunday matinee against Old Dominion at the Lifetime Fitness Center in Harrison, N.Y., at 1 p.m.
On Thursday, the Red Storm sniffed out a 4-3 decision over Delaware to remain unbeaten. After dropping the doubles point, four Johnnies, Axel Vila Antuna, Ignacio Garcia, Carl Gustavsson and Giuseppe De Camelis corralled singles victories to pull out a home win.
The freshman Gustavsson has strung together a pair of noteworthy performances in his first two collegiate matches. The Stockholm, Sweden native has captured all four sets and looks to continue his stellar play on Sunday.
Old Dominion meets St. John's in its second and final leg of contests against New York City schools this weekend, the Monarchs are set to face Columbia on Saturday. ODU has faced stellar competition this season including a 4-2 win over Penn State to open its spring campaign.
The two programs last met five years ago On March 4, 2017, the Monarchs blanked the Red Storm, 4-0.
