St. John’s Set to Face No. 36 Princeton

Johnnies currently riding a four-match winning streak
QUEENS, N.Y.- The St. John's men's tennis team will face nationally ranked no. 36 Princeton at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The Red Storm will cross-state lines riding a four-match winning streak. In its last contest on Wednesday, the Johnnies blanked LIU, 5-0, in the finale of a four-match home stand. The Red Storm now hold a 11-2 record on the year.
For the second-straight week, Axel Vila Antuna and Ignacio Garcia were tabbed BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week. The duo has been stellar on the top court with an 8-2 record on the year.
Individually, Vila Antuna has dropped only one match this spring , exclusively playing in the no. 1 slot. Garcia is tied for the team-lead in wins with nine.
Vlad Vasilache has recently emerged as a fixture in the Johnnies line-up. The freshman has garnered wins in seven of his eight matches this season.
The Tigers roll into Saturday's contest with a 13-5 record, having won five-straight. Two Princeton players were named in this week's ITA Rankings. Ryan Seggerman checked in at no. 54 in singles. In doubles, Seggerman and Justin Barki were tabbed at no. 29.
Following Saturday's tilt, the Red Storm will begin conference play when it travels to Villanova on Wednesday.
