Red Storm resumes play Friday against Butler
STONY BROOK, N.Y. (April 5, 2022) – The St. John's softball fell to Stony Brook, 8-0, on Tuesday afternoon at University Field.
NFCA Second-Team All-Region Pick Dawn Bodrug tossed a 15-strikeout no-hitter for the Seawolves (18-10), her second no-no in her last three starts.
Stony Brook got on the board in the second inning with a two-run single from Catherine Kupinski, who came home three batters later on an Alicia Orosco RBI single to put the Seawolves ahead 3-0 after two.
The Seawolves added one more run in the bottom of the fifth before hanging up a four-spot in the bottom of the sixth.
The Red Storm (8-25) will return to action on Friday when it takes on Butler. First pitch from Red Storm Field is scheduled for 1 p.m.
