The Red Storm will return to the hardwood after a six-day layoff. In its last time out, the Johnnies edged Butler, 67-65, rallying from an eight-point deficit in the third quarter to move to 8-3 in conference play. Unique Drake was the leading scorer adding 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting off the bench. The senior guard is averaging 17.5 points and shooting 68.8 percent from the floor in her last two outings.
The narrow victory over the Bulldogs held historic implications, marking a program record 13th straight win at Carnesecca Arena. Kadaja Bailey made her 135th appearance for the Red & White, setting a new all-time record for most games played by any St. John's men's or women's basketball player.
Seton Hall ventures across state lines to Queens with a 13-8 record and hold a 6-5 mark in BIG EAST play, having lost its last four games. The Pirates will also enter Tuesday's battle having not played in six days. Their last contest against DePaul was postponed, due to the Blue Demons not having enough eligible players.
The Pirates are led by crafty guard Lauren Park-Lane, who is averaging 19.3 points and 6.0 assists per game. The senior ranks inside the top-3 in the conference in both statistical categories.
The Red Storm will look to claim a victory over its league foe at home for the third time in the last four years. Bailey poured in 23 points on a percent shooting day, going 7-for-7 from the floor.
