Kelly Wu sits tied for fifth place
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The St. John's women's golf team completed two rounds at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational on Saturday at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club.
The Red Storm sit eighth in the 12-team field carding a 24-over, 600, through 36 holes in Delaware. The Johnnies logged a 6-over, 294, in the first and followed it up with a 18-over, 300, to close play on Saturday.
After winning her first-ever college tournament and earning Co-BIG EAST Golfer of the Week Kelly Wu sits inside the top-five after 36 holes. The senior recorded a 1-over, 145, to placed in the top-five out of 69 golfers. The Auckland, New Zealand native recorded a 2-under, 70, in the latter round.
Lily Huynh moved up to tie for 30th place after an even par, 72, in the second round. The sophomore shot 7-over, 151, with one round left to play. Laura Mizlerova and Pihla Pennanen both registered an 8-over, 152, to tie for 35th place.
St. John's will be back in action for the final round of its fall season with a shotgun start beginning at 9 a.m. tomorrow. Live scoring will be available on GolfGenius.
