The Red Storm will square off with the Black Bears for the 13th time in program history on Friday
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's baseball team will return to Queens to host Maine in its second consecutive home series starting on Friday at 3 p.m. from Jack Kaiser Stadium.
First pitch for both Saturday and Sunday's contest is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday's games will be audio-only broadcasts, while Sunday's matchup will be streamed on FloSports. Live stats will be available on RedStormSports.com.
The Red Storm (3-11) will look to bounce back after falling to Stony Brook at Joe Nathan Field on Long Island on Tuesday. Adam Agresti led the Red Storm offensively, going 2-for-3 at the plate with a double, a walk and a run scored. Will Cowan crushed his second home run of the year in the eighth inning against the Seawolves. Jackson Tucker and Anthony Brienza each rang up a double and batted in a run on Long Island.
Evan Hoeckele had a solid outing in his second career start on Tuesday, only allowing one run while striking out three across four complete innings of work on the mound.
Shaun McMillan was tabbed to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday for the first time in his career. The freshman slashed .643/.722/1.286 with nine hits, including two homers, a double and a triple, six RBIs, five runs scored and four walks against Ohio State and NJIT. The freshman started in each game last week as the team's DH and recorded multiple hits in every contest. On the season, the Freeport, N.Y., native has posted a .379/.471/.793 slash line with 11 hits, a team-leading three home runs, nine RBIs and six runs scored across 11 appearances.
Tucker will look to extend his nine-game on-base and hitting streak this weekend against the Black Bears. The Staten Island, N.Y., product leads the Red Storm with 13 runs scored and eight walks, to go along with 15 hits, six RBIs, three doubles and a .364 on-base percentage.

The Johnnies have won four straight matchups against the Black Bears and boast a 7-5 all-time edge over Maine, dating all the way back to the first game of the series in 1975. The two squads will meet for the first time since March 25-26, 2017, when the Johnnies earned a series sweep in Queens. Sean Mooney was named the BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week and Jamie Galazin was named to the honor roll, following the three-game set.

Payton Whitehead has flashed his power while Chris Bear has showcased his speed in 2025. Whitehead posts a team-leading three homers and eight RBIs while Bear has stolen a team-high five bases.
Colin Fitzgerald holds a 4.63 ERA, the best among Maine's starting pitchers. Across a team-leading 23.1 innings of work, the redshirt junior has struck out 18 batters.
