The Red Storm will race at Harvard and Boston University
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's track and field team will compete in a pair of meets this weekend, racing at two of Boston's premier indoor tracks. The Red Storm are slated to participate in the Crimson Open at Harvard on Friday and the David Hemery Valentine Invite at Boston University on Saturday.
A majority of the squad will be making the weekend trip to Beantown for its only two regular season meets outside the confines of New York this indoor season. Live results can be found on RedStormSports.com. Friday's meet at Harvard will be streamed on ESPN+, and Saturday's meet at Boston University will be streamed on FloTrack.
Last weekend, St. John's continued its strong indoor season with five event wins and 18 top-five finishes in Staten Island at the Big Apple Classic.
On Friday, the Red Storm will make their way to the Gordon Indoor Track on the campus of Harvard for the Crimson Open. Nora Haugen returns to the track for the 500-meter run. Also returning to the track is Chinenye Josephine Onuorah for both the 200-meter dash and the 400-meter dash. The pair haven't competed since the Dr. Sander Scorcher in late January.
Also returning to the circle is Jamora Alves, who will compete in the shot put on Friday. Alves owns a season-best mark of 14.70 meters (48 feet, 2.75 inches).
On Saturday, St. John's will race on one of the fastest tracks in the Northeast at the BU Track and Tennis Center. The facility has produced a number of the NCAA's and world's top times on the oval in 2026.
Kettia Ambrose is among the three Johnnies competing in the 200m/400m double. Haugen and Naiara Garcia-Moreno highlight the 800-meter run field for the Red Storm.
In the field, Ashley Sadler and Linn Hertz Saebbo are two of four Red Storm student-athletes who appear on the start list in the high jump. On the runway, Fia Viklund will represent
St. John's in the triple jump, while Hertz Saebbo and Tatiana Camilo are slated to compete in the long jump.
Along with Alves, Juliet Smith will also double back in the weight throw and shot put at BU. Maja Henry is set to compete in the shot put, while Desiree Pagan will take attempts in the weight throw.
Following its weekend in Boston, St. John's returns to Ocean Breeze for the final time this indoor season. On Friday, Feb. 20, Director of Track and Field Aliann Pompey and her squad will compete in the FastTrack Last Chance meet
