Shaun McMillan went 2-for-3, recording a single and a double. Jayder Raifstanger went 1-for-4 and drove in a run. Jon LeGrandewent 1-for-3 with a double and scored a run. Dylan Fitzsimmons continued his strong weekend, going 1-for-3 with a single and drawing a walk.

Kentucky scored one run in each of the first three frames, jumping out to an early 3-0 lead. Mowad retired six of the last eight batters he faced through the fourth and fifth innings.
In the top of the fifth, McMillan used a leadoff double to get into scoring position. After Chaz Wright drew a walk, both runners advanced on a fielder's choice but never got a chance to cross the plate.
St. John's broke through in the top of the sixth inning. After a LeGrande stand-up double to right field, Raifstanger used an RBI single up the right side to drive in LeGrande to make it 3-1.
The Wildcats applied pressure and threatened to score in the bottom of the eighth, but the Johnnies were able to get out of the inning with runners on first and third.
The Johnnies nearly engineered a comeback in the ninth. After McMillan drew a one-out walk, Adam Agresti singled up the left side to put runners on first and second with two outs, but UK worked out of the jam to secure the win, 3-1.
The Red Storm will prepare for a quick turnaround for their first midweek series in University Park, Pa., in a two-game tilt at Penn State from March 3-4.
