St. John’s to Face Seton Hall in Final Home BIG EAST Series

The Red Storm will honor its seniors on Friday
QUEENS, N.Y. — The St. John's softball team will host BIG EAST rival Seton Hall for its final conference series at Red Storm Field of the 2026 season this weekend. The series will feature the Johnnies' Senior Day ceremony following game two, honoring Ana Serafinko, Loreley Francia, Jess Bianco, Cassidy Stouffer, Elanna Lysiak, Paige Sterling, Katie Whittaker and Sydney Totarsky.
The Red Storm and Pirates will meet in a Friday doubleheader with 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. starts. The conference rivals are scheduled to close out the series on Sunday at 12 p.m.
Friday's doubleheader will stream on the St. John's Red Storm YouTube channel, while Sunday's tilt will broadcast on ESPN+. Live stats for all three meetings can be found on RedStormSports.com.
St. John's (28-20, 6-12 BIG EAST) enters the weekend following a 6-1 victory over Iona on April 22 in Queens. The Red Storm totaled six runs on 11 hits in the contest, highlighted by a dominant complete-game performance from Serafinko, who allowed one run on five hits while striking out 13 to earn her 15th win of the season.
Natasha Limbani led the offense with a perfect 4-for-4 performance and an RBI, while London Slade went 3-for-3 with a career-high three runs scored. Bianco recorded her first career home run, finishing with two runs scored and an RBI, while Lysiak drove in a run and reached base three times.
Limbani has recorded her second straight game with three hits or more and third consecutive multi-hit showing. Since April 15, the Mississauga, Ontario, native has averaged 2.8 hits per game, totaling 14 across five starts.
On April 20, Limbani was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after batting .636 (7-for-11) across four starts, scoring four runs with a double and two RBIs while posting a .727 slugging percentage and a .667 on-base percentage.
Slade notched her 16th multi-hit game of the campaign against the Gaels and fourth performance with three hits or more, raising her season total to 59 hits, which ranks second on the team.
Serafinko has been one of the country's top arms in 2026. The senior southpaw ranks second in NCAA Division I with 239 strikeouts and fourth nationally in complete games (19). The Chino Hills, Calif., native leads the BIG EAST in victories (15), strikeouts (239), innings pitched (171.0), strikeouts per seven innings (9.8), ERA (2.87), hits allowed per seven innings (6.30) and complete games (19). The senior has posted nine games with double-digit strikeouts, including three outings with 13 or more, most recently against Iona on April 22.
Through 48 games, Francia owns 13 wins with nine complete games, both of which rank second in the BIG EAST. The Spring, Texas, native is also tied for the lead in the conference with three shutouts.
As a pitching staff, St. John's ranks 11th nationally in strikeouts per seven innings (7.52) and 29th in strikeout-to-walk ratio (2.23), both of which lead the BIG EAST.
Offensively, St. John's is hitting .306 as a team with 415 hits and 239 runs scored through 48 games. Bianco leads the squad with a .374 batting average and 65 hits, which ranks first in the BIG EAST and 31st nationally. Lysiak paces the team with 31 RBIs, while Limbani ranks second with 29. Slade has totaled 59 hits while batting .358, ranking third in the conference.
Slade also ranks 18th nationally in toughest to strike out, while Limbani ranks 35th.
The Red Storm's 418 hits rank 24th in NCAA Division I, while the program is also tied for first nationally with one triple play this season alongside Boise State, Grambling, Loyola Chicago, Rhode Island, Hampton, CSUN and Yale.
