Postgame Notes: St. John's 78, Seton Hall 57

- With the win, St. John's has a 16-10 record at home against Seton Hall.
- Freshman Da'Shena Stevens led the Red Storm with a team-high 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting, and a 1-of-2 effort from the free throw line. Stevens also tallied seven rebounds. The contest was the sixth time the rookie has led STJ in scoring this season. Sophomore Sky Lindsay led the team in rebounds with nine.
- For the second time this season, five STJ players scored in the double-figures with Stevens, senior Kelly McManmon (13) and sophomores Centhya Hart (12), Lindsay (10) and Joy McCorvey (10).
- McManmon's 13 points marks the 14th time this season she has scored in the double-digits. Lindsay's 10-point tally is the 11th time she has posted a double-figure effort in 2008-09, and is McCorvey's seventh and Hart's fifth.
- McManmon's two 3-pointers in tonight's contest marks her 12th multi-3-point effort and the 17th-straight game connecting on at least one trey in a streak dating back to Dec. 13. She is in third place all-time in 3's with 133.
- The Red Storm defense kept Seton Hall's leading-rebounder Noteisha Womack reboundless. Womack had been averaging a double-double with 12.7 points and a team-high 11.3 rebounds. Womack saw limited minutes in the second half with four fouls against her.
- The Red Storm outrebounded the Pirates 38-22. Seton Hall had been outrebounding its competition by an average of 6.6 per contest.
- In the second half, St. John's shot 65.2 percent from the field, going 15-for-23
- Sophomore Sheree Ledbetter made her debut as a starter. Ledbetter matched her career assist total with two, making tonight's game her second-straight multi-assist game. Ledbetter's 28 minutes also marked a career-high playing time.
- Hart matched her career-best in scoring with 12 points. Lindsay also posted a career-best with nine rebounds.
- McManmon broke the 9-9 tie to give St. John's its first steady lead of the game at 12:48 in the first half with a jumper assisted by Stevens.
- Stevens gave St. John's its largest lead of the game with just under 35 seconds remaining in the first half with a jumper from McManmon.
- St. John's went into the period break up 40-27, the 18th time STJ has led at the half. Last time out at Seton Hall, the Red Storm and Pirates entered the second period tied at 39.
