St. Johns to Conclude Regular Season at Temple Invitational

QUEENS, N.Y.- The St. John's fencing team will wrap up the regular season portion of its schedule when it travels to Philadelphia to take part in the Temple Invitational on Sunday.

The Red Storm will take on several top teams, including Penn, Penn State, Princeton and Johns Hopkins. The Johnnies previously faced Penn and Princeton at the LIU Shark Showcase and locked swords with Penn State at the St. John's Invitational.

Last time out at the LIU Shark Showcase on Jan. 29, Ahmed Ferjani, Fares Ferjani and Mauricio Pellegrino each posted 12 wins to lead the men's team to four wins in a dominant performance. Fares Ferjani has enjoyed a successful month of January, logging 27 wins across three meets.

On the women's side, Julia Cieslar continues to shine in her second season in Queens. The sophomore grabbed 12 wins at the LIU Shark Showcase on Jan. 29 and racked up 30 wins in the month of January.

After competing in Philadelphia, St. John's will turn its attention to the NCAA Northeast Regionals, hosted by Harvard University, on March 12.
