Ryota Kaneda picked up the lone point for the Johnnies
The St. John's men's tennis team fell short against No. 14 Arizona, 6-1, on Tuesday at the USTA National Tennis Center.
The Red Storm fall to 8-2 with the loss.
Ryota Kaneda accounted for the Johnnies' lone point on the day, picking up a win on the No. 6 singles court against Sasha Rozin, 6-3, 6-3. Kaneda earned his eighth singles victory of 2024 which leads the team.
The Wildcats (5-1) picked up the team doubles point after earning wins on the No. 1 and 3 courts before emerging victorious in five of the six singles matches to clinch the win.
The Red Storm will be back in action on Saturday against Boston University.
