Fencing Competes at Temple Invitational

Men and women both finish with an even 2-2 mark
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The St. John's men's and women's fencing teams competed at the Temple Invitational against Stevens, Temple, Johns Hopkins, Princeton and Penn State on Sunday.
The men and women both finished an even 2-2 mark in the City of Brotherly Love. The men secured wins over Stevens and Johns Hopkins while the women garnered victories against Johns Hopkins and Princeton
Ahmed Ferjani and Paul Fortin finished with nine individual wins apiece in the men's saber and epee respectively. Igor Wozniak led the way in the men's foil with a 7-2 mark.
Julia Cieslar totaled nine triumphs in the women's saber. Antonina Lachman and Malwina Kolodziejczyk each notched an 8-4 record in the women's foil while Eva Galper led the women's epee with six victories.
The Red Storm will be back in action at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships on March 10. LIU will be hosting the regional championships in Brooklyn, N.Y.
