St. John’s Prepares for NCAA Northeast Regional

The Red Storm will send 21 fencers to the regional for a chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships
QUEENS, N.Y. – St. John's is set to send 21 fencers to the NCAA Northeast Regional hosted by Tufts in Medford, Mass., on Sunday.

The Red Storm will have 11 men and 10 women compete for an opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Championships, which are set to be held at Penn State from March 20-23.
At last year's regional, the St. John's men swept first place in all three weapon types: Jan Jurkiewicz (foil), Ahmed Ferjani(saber) and Paul Fortin (epee). Julia Cieslar also took home a first-place finish in the women's saber.
