Peicheng Chen Fires 6-Under to Claim Third at BIG EAST Championships

Chen matched lowest round of the conference tournament on Monday
OKATIE, S.C.- Peicheng Chen ascended up the leaderboard carding a 6-under, 66, in the final round to take third place at the 2025 BIG EAST Championships presented by JEEP.
Chen, on the heels of tying the lowest single-round score of the tournament to finish at 4-under, 212, for his seventh top-three finish of the 2024-25 season.
As a team, the Red Storm finished in 10th place carding a 24-over, 888, at Callwassie Island Golf Club in Okatie, S.C. The Johnnies logged a 8-over, 296, over the final round on Monday.
Marquette for the second time in the last three years took home the team title finishing at 17-under. 847 to run away with the conference crown. UConn's Alex Heard took the individual title carding an 11-under, 205.
Chen, was on a tear over the final 18 holes firing in eight birdies on Monday, including five over a six-hole stretch to skyrocket 13 spots on the leaderboard. The senior recorded his seventh top-three finish in 10 stroke play events, tying for the most in NCAA Division I.
David Mlynek finished 32nd overall with a 7-over, 223, and Joseph Dolezal checked in knotted for 39th place with a 9-over, 225.
