Coming off a 1-1 week, the St. John's women's soccer team returns home to Belson Stadium on Thursday evening, playing host to Marquette in a 7 p.m. tilt.

Thursday's match with Marquette will also serve as the program's annual alumnae day, as Head Coach Ian Stone and the Red Storm women's soccer program will welcome back all former Johnnies.
Following a road loss to DePaul last Sunday afternoon in Chicago, the Red Storm will eagerly return to action at Belson Stadium, where the Johnnies boast a strong 4-2 record. St. John's has outscored its opponents, 7-4, inside the friendly confines of Belson Stadium this season.
Meredith Reinhardt has shined in net for the Red Storm, making 12 saves over her last two appearances, including a shutout victory against Seton Hall last Thursday night. Marquette comes to Queens sporting a record of 3-8-1 and a 0-2-1 mark against BIG EAST opposition. The Golden Eagles are 1-5-1 in their last seven outings, having last picked up a victory against Colorado State, 2-1, on Sept. 22.
Marquette is led offensively by sophomore forward Macey Shock, who has recorded a team-high two goals on the 2019 campaign. In addition to Shock's two tallies, six different players have found the back of the net for the Golden Eagles this season.

St. John's and Marquette will meet for the 17th time in program history on Thursday. The Golden Eagles hold a 14-1-1 advantage in the previous 16 contests between the two schools.
The Red Storm's lone win over Marquette came on Oct. 4, 2015 in a record-breaking night for former St. John's standout Rachel Daly.
