Just seven minutes later, Basile played a cross into the opposite side of the box that found Tran, who leaped into the air and played a beautiful volley right in front of the goal where DeJesus took it out of the air and directed a strike over the goalkeeper and into the back-of-the-net.
The Red Storm went into the locker room with a two-goal advantage, 2-0.
In the second half, Seton Hall (3-6-3, 0-1-2 BIG EAST) shifted the momentum and trimmed the deficit in half in the 64th minute with a goal from Olivia Beauvois, 2-1.
Nielsen made a trio of saves to keep the Pirates off the board as the visitors recorded 11 shots in the latter half. Until a corner kick in the 86th minute where Megan Twomey headed home a cross from Natalie Tavana to knot the scoreline, 2-2.
