The Johnnies aim to get back in the win column on Saturday
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's lacrosse team will look to bounce back on Saturday as it travels to Washington, D.C., for its final road BIG EAST matchup against No. 10/8 Georgetown. Faceoff from Cooper Field is set for 1 p.m.
The contest will be streamed on ESPN+ with Jeremy Huber and Ben Curtis on the call, while live stats will be available on RedStormSports.com.
St. John's is coming off a 15-9 loss to Denver in which the Red Storm battled back from multiple deficits. Owen Rogers led the offense with a hat trick, while Noah Plenn added three goals and Wade Bryan chipped in two.
Matt Nelson recorded 12 saves, marking his 11th game this season with double-digit stops, helping keep the Johnnies within striking distance despite Denver's early momentum.

Plenn has been one of the nation's top freshmen, ranking seventh nationally in total points (35) and fifth in points per game (3.30).
Georgetown enters Saturday's contest having won five of its last six games, with its lone loss coming against No. 5/5 Syracuse. The Hoyas are 3-0 in BIG EAST play with wins over Denver, Marquette and Providence, and are coming off a 2025 season that saw them reach the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals.
Offensively, Georgetown is led by the Connor brothers. Liam leads the nation in assists per game (3.90) and has totaled 52 points (14 goals, 38 assists), while Rory has recorded 51 points on 41 goals and 10 assists, ranking third nationally in goals and second in goals per game (4.10).
Defensively, the Hoyas are anchored by Preseason BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year Ty Banks, who has recorded 10 caused turnovers this season.
St. John's is seeking its first win over Georgetown since 2016, with the Hoyas leading the all-time series, 21-4.
